Admit it, a kitchen is a house’s part which always looks dirty. It’s because we produce something here: cooking, cookies, beverages, and so on. No wonder there are various smell and garbage. So, a kitchen can be a cozy place for Mr. & Mrs. Bacteria to proliferate. Don’t let this happens. Let’s go to the kitchen and check:
Light is important, be from an electrical lamp or sunlight or lamp. The sunlight, particularly. Beside it is free, the sunlight is good to kill bacteria in the kitchen. So, try to get enough sunlight in your kitchen. When you build it, notice the amount and measure of window. If there’s enough sunlight, you don’t necessarily turn on the lamp all day long. It can save energy.
You cook, you make smoke. I’m 101% sure that you don’t feel comfortable when the smoke is around you. So, circulate the air. Make sure there are enough windows or holes that connect your kitchen with an outdoor. But if there’s no ventilation in your kitchen since the beginning, it’s not the end of the world. Use cooker hood. It’ll absorb most of the smoke.
A kitchen is the biggest waste producer in the house. To avoid the disease or bed smell from garbage, just keep your kitchen clean by washing it every time you finish cooking. You shall clean quickly the oil splash, sauce spilled, and water splash. You must do garbage disposal too every day. When you let the garbage pile up even just one day, there’ll be a place for bacteria and toadstool to proliferate.
By paying attention to those small things, your kitchen won’t be a dark and dirty place. As other parts of the house, the cleanliness is important to keep the kitchen healthy. If it is clean, we can linger here, try a new recipe, and enjoy your food you have cooked. [photo from Shouternliving.com]
