Build A Joglo House-Like

Before this century, only noble that built Joglo house. Because it required materials more than ordinary houses, and it had to be expensive. Joglo house usually has exclusive rooms, such as pendapa (meeting room), pringgitan (a room which is used to hold a shadow puppet show), dalem agung (room at the back used as family room). Meanwhile in the main building, there are three sentong (rooms): sentong kiwa (left wing room), sentong tengah (center room) and sentong kanan (right wing room).

To Build a Floating House a la Bornean

Have you ever traveled to South Borneo in Indonesia? Some areas there are swamp. The land is actually four inches under sea level, more or less. That’s why, the South Borneans are so familiar with the river and boat. Even Banjarmasin, the capital city of South Borneo Province, is called a city of thousand boats.

Thai Massaging in the House

Recently, when I felt tired of my routine activity, I asked my wife to give 10-15 minutes massage. It’s weird, because before I get married, I didn’t enjoy this rub thing at all. However, I’m sure a lot of people would agree at the point that to get massaged is so relieving, for body and soul. Even to me, it’s sort of recreation at home.
